Rules and Regulations

Dear guests, to ensure the safety and comfort of the hotel guests during their stay, we have clarified some guidelines.

*Guest is to provide identity card ID/Passports and provide contacts and contact person on registration.

*Guests are to highlight any medical condition or special medical condition that they may have during registration.

ROOM CHECK IN -IS AT ANY TIME.

Check-out is at 10:00am after breakfast, with late check-out allowed at cost of ksh 2000 per hour.Guest are given the key card upon registration at the reception and are kindly asked to lock their rooms.

Guests are required to hand over their keys to the receptionist upon departure .if guests lose or do not return the key card, they are obligated to pay the penalty of ksh 1,000.

Rooms can only be used by guests who are duly registered at the reception with a valid identity document.

The kitchen is open every day.

Menu – A brief menu is available in every room.

Should you wish to have an earlier or later meal, please inform the front desk so that the necessary arrangements can be done.

From 10pm to 7am hours are the time of night peace.

We invite every guest to be careful during this period and not to cause NOISE that can disturb other guests.

Disturbing other guests is not allowed. The hotel keeps the right to refuse further hospitality to the guest who is disturbs other guests or on other way disrespect House rules.

We assume that the guests are familiarized with and fully understand the hotel rules at the beginning of their stay in at The Mark Vintage Hotel.

Hotel bears no responsibility for any damage or loss of your personal belongings. In case of any loss, you are kindly requested to immediately inform reception. We suggest you double check your room upon your departure from the hotel.

All rooms have hot water kettles. All guests are requested to be cautious during use.

The hotel is entirely NON-SMOKING. In case of NON-COMPLIANCE with this rule, the hotel is obligated to charge the penalty according to the local Law.

Linens and towels are one day use.

LOST AND FOUND items are stored for a maximum period of 1 month after which they’re disposed of.

In all guest rooms DO NOT DISTURB sign has been provided. Hotel rule is that this sign cannot be displayed longer than 24hours. After this time, Hotel reserves the right to enter the room due to safety and security reasons.

Hotel guests must have appropriate clothes and footwear when they are moving through the public spaces of the hotel. It is not allowed to take explosives, weapons, inflammable materials or other dangerous chemicals into the hotel.

It is NOT ALLOWED to bring food and beverages from outside in the hotel. Hotel keep the right to move this food and beverage.

It is permitted to use iron which you can get from the reception.

For your convenience hotel has arranged parking.

The hotel takes no responsibility for any damage or loss of your vehicle in the parking.

Airport transfers are available 24 hours at a fee of ksh.2000. The official price list of this service is published at the reception.

For any damaged caused by the guest to the hotel property, the guest is due to cover the cost of damage to the hotel.

Guests may have visitors in their rooms which must be registered at the reception.

Visits are allowed until 8 p.m. and in case of an extended visit (after 8 p.m.) the hotel will charge an additional amount including VAT per person per night, as a supplement for the next guest.

The Mark hotel keeps the right to require a guarantee for extra expenses during the reservation process or at check-in.

All tariffs for the room are inclusive of any government taxes.

Payments are in local currency.

Payment methods are either in cash, debit, credit or our MPESA Pay bill number/s provided (i.e. 8950352) and must be settled at the registration level, at the reception.

All departments after 10 am will be considered as late departures and additional cost will be applied to the Guest’s hotel account.

If departure is after 6 p.m. an extra night including breakfast, will be charged. Please check for details with Reception.

If during your stay, for whatever reason, you need to check out earlier, it is necessary to inform reception 24 before departure. Otherwise, a full night stay with breakfast will be charged.

In case of cancellation of further guest stay by the hotel caused by misbehaviors and disrespect of hotel rules, hotel reserves the right to charge for the full length of stay as per reservation.

In case of a fire alarm, please follow instructions from the evacuation plan on the floors.

It is not allowed to take out from the hotel the room inventory (pillows, blankets, towels).

Pets. Guest must include information on pet availability. Separate arrangements can be made before arrival.

If you have any suggestions on hotel service or if you have any technical problems in your room, please feel free to inform us at your earliest convenience.

In case of late notice for any complaints that you might have when the hotel has no chance to react, those situations will be considered as feedback and a discount will not be considered.

Government rules regulations and application of laws are observed, and all guests are requested to observe, abide by confirm to, and be bound by all applicable acts and laws and government rules and regulations in force from time to time.

Using photography and videos taken in the hotel for commercial or public purposes is illegal. Those who will be found doing so will be subjected to disciplinary action that may level up to prosecution.
